WW - Patek Philippe, Genève, circa 1940s, manual wind, 20mm x 40mm to lug tips, 15mm lug width, aftermarket 18K rose gold highly unusual stepped snap back case with hidden lugs, 18K rose gold brick link bracelet with interesting spring-loaded adjustment, silvered dial with applied diamond indices, 18J, case s#298, movement s#971816. Whoever made this case for this movement spared absolutely no expense in weight of the case or quality of the workmanship. Gross weight of 18K gold case and bracelet without movement, crystal or spring bars 49.5 dwt (77.1 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, light oxide to steelwork, plate worn to brass on bottom right corner, ample fine scratches; excellent dial with light surface spotting and light cracking of lacquer; excellent silver hands; lightly polished case shows very little wear, no dents or dings; crown shows hardly any wear; good glass crystal.
